Stocks: Ahead of the election, jobs in focus
Excerpt:Otherwise, analysts expect investors to stay quiet ahead of the election, even though a number of reports are on tap to give investors and voters alike a snapshot of the U.S. economic landscape before they head to the polls. "This is a fairly important election in terms of where things go in terms of policy next year," said Dan Greenhaus, chief global strategist at BTIG. "In front of that, with a fair bit of uncertainty, people are going to hold off and wait to see what happens." Several jobs-related reports are on tap this week to give voters the latest on the strength of the labor market. Jobs has been a central issue facing the candidates on Nov. 6. Metro area employment and ADP's payroll report will lead up to the closely-watched monthly jobs report from the Labor Department on Friday.

Key:
- Aggregate Sentiment is meant to be an indicator of an individual's overall sentiment.
- The Mean is meant to be an indicator of an individual's average comment sentiment.
- The Standard Deviation, when there are enough quotes, will indicate an individual's consistency of sentiment (i.e. a Standard Deviation of 0 would mean they were very consistent in their sentiment and 1 would mean they were very inconsistent).
Note that quote stats are likely to be meaningless beyond the aggregate score due to the tiny sample size. However, they are always provided just in case you find something useful there.
