HONG KONG (CNNMoney)-- The UNITED STATE House Intelligence Committee launched a painful report in early October focused on the business practices of Huawei and ZTE, 2 Chinese telecom companies that would such as to expand their operations in the UNITED STATE The report advised the UNITED STATE "view with suspicion" any sort of plans for residential development by Chinese telecom companies, stating they "can not be trusted to be free of foreign state influence and thus pose a security threat to the United States and to our systems.". Huawei rejected the report's findings, calling them "baseless." CNNMoney met last week with Scott Sykes, the company's vice president for corporate media affairs, in Hong Kong.
